So.....over two years ago, I said screw it and channeled my inner Neo and "Escaped the Matrix!" I sold everything that wasn’t nailed down and hit the road full-time with my posse of six rescue dogs. Yes, SIX! I’m not saying I’m a crazy cat lady, but… okay, maybe I am like the crazy cat lady, except it’s dogs (Crazy dog dude?)🤣. Anyway, when I told people my grand plan, they stared at me like I’d just announced I was moving to Mars!

At the time, it sounded like I was going crazy (and it still does). But here’s the thing—I knew if I didn’t bolt, I’d wake up one day as Grumpy Old Man McBoring, still trudging through the same dull routine I’d been stuck in for 20 years. Needless to say that was a hard pass! I needed to stir the pot, embrace the chaos, and make uncertainty my new best friend. And boy, did we have uncertainty! Every other week was a new episode of “Will We Make It to the next location or Sleep at a rest stop?”—spoiler: mostly we made it, but the rest stops were character-building🤣

Now, fast-forward two-plus years, and we’ve racked up enough memories to fill a stadium! All those crazy, laugh-out-loud, “how are we still alive?” moments inspired me to slap together this totally awesome book about our adventures.

It started as a half-baked “here’s how to not lose your mind traveling with pets” guide, but then it ballooned into this crazy semi-memoir that I’m pretty sure is part travelogue, part therapy session. I put my heart into this book, and I can't wait for you to dive in—whether you end up laughing, crying, or both, just know I was right there with you while writing it!

Oh, and to all my ebook-loving peeps, usually, I’m all about the digital life, but the paperback is where the party’s at—especially if you’re a sucker for pics, like me. It’s jammed with over 160 snapshots of our madness, compared to 10-15 in the Kindle version. Why the discrepancy, you ask? Just Amazon being Amazon, throwing a wrench in the works with their “no huge picture books” policy. But trust me, the paperback is worth every penny for all that visual gold. I hope you enjoy!
