One of the many stops on the way from Phoenix, AZ to Joiner, AR. 28 hour drive, lots of stops, naps and coffee, but we made it! #doggonenomads

I don’t claim to know all the answers, and I’m certainly far from my own truths, it’s just remarkable to me to look back at how much time I’ve wasted participating in a robotic world deprived of reality. Although even now, the joke is that I still am and always will be wasting time. Every moment I spend complaining about the days I can no longer change are moments that could have been valued, cherished, or focused into something greater than myself. Although we can never really have those moments back, can we. All we can do is learn to love every moment, and discipline our minds into illustrating a bigger picture because without one, I would still be where I was in those moments that I now regret, and maybe I still am.

Almost a month ago, Angel had surgery to remove a large mass from her back. It was tough seeing her like that, staples down her spine and a drainage tube.

But today? She’s back to doing what she does best, guarding the toy hauler against squirrels and chipmunks, soaking in the sun, and reminding us all that resilience wears a wagging tail (even if it is just a nub, lol).

Watching her bounce back like nothing ever happened has been nothing short of inspiring.

She may have a scar, but she’s still got that sparkle.

I'm beyond grateful to have her happy, healthy, and part of every adventure on the road.
